PrimaTek provides for over 1500 powder coatings items of various designation, application, surface structure and color
The thermoplastic powder coatings are based on the thermoplastic film-forming agents and form a coating without the chemical transformation processes, but rather at the expense of the particles fusion and the melt’s cooling down. The resulting films are thermoplastic and often soluble. The composition of such powders conforms to the one of the initial material. The powder coatings based on butyral resin, polyethylene, polyvinylchloride, polyamides are included in this group. The powders are used as protective and decorative, electrical insulation, benzene- and abrasive-resistant media for both the interior and exterior type of application. Such coatings are water and saline media resistant at room temperature.
Methods of application of the thermoplastic PC’s:
- Fluidized bed (boiling) layer application
- Electrostatic application (corona- or tribo-charging of powder).
